I just found your comic, and I really love your work. I am thankful my homeless was very brief, but it really opened my eyes to how hard it is to climb out of poverty.
Keep pushing. Those of us that have tasted homelessness before, and those of us who are wise are both taking notes and rooting for you.
I hope you stay safe.
Sereusly just s bloody lip no big. Happened over in near by town that's bigger..And a bit different. I got targeted for being by my self. Waiting and having more then one bag...
I have a topic started in the Duck forum "Helping Riley McCool"...http://www.theduckwebcomics.com/forum/topic/177654/ This is specifically for anyone who wants to discuss ways to set up either a Kickstarter or a GoFundMe to try and pay off Riley's truck and then get her and her son off the streets.
Damn. Sorry you're going thru that kind of thing. Figures. Just got back from our monthly outing feeding and visiting with local homeless folk. Spent an hour with Andrea (Who may write you, BTW) setting her up with a way to pull her photos from her phone so she can shoot more. She takes 100s of pix from her perspective as a homeless person. Talked with her about Patreon and other possible options. She liked the printouts from your comic I shared. (And the envelope art. And Tamberlane.:) A good, homecooked meal and fellowship, no Bible-thumping, just serving and sharing, which is what we're supposed to do. At least they're happy to see us. Be careful, stay safe, know we're on your side! God bless! Stubat
A reminder for those who are just joining this webcomic. Riley's Patreon can be found here: https://www.patreon.com/Jrileymc ...Oh and don't forget to click the "You Like This" button in the lower right hand corner of the comic.
Oh my God... I hope you are going to be okay. Was your son with you at the time? And I know Sandpoint is a small town, but how did these kids even know you were homeless?
Nasty people lashing out at innocent folks because they're too lazy to determine who's responsible. I'm really sorry they punched you, you've had enough to deal with besides them. Glad you made it to safety, but I really wish people would stop giving you a hard time.

I'm really sorry to hear that. You have enough to deal with and people can be unnecessarily cruel. Please stay safe.
