Use sturdy clear trash bags in a fix if no heavy mil plastic sheeting is available.
Open the car door. Spread a length of clear, plastic sheeting against the open window frame.
Cut a section of plastic that covers the open window frame, using scissors. Ensure the bottom of the plastic extends a short bit past the bottom of the window frame.
Tear off a short section of duct tape, or cut with scissors. Use the duct tape to tape the top of the plastic to the top of the window frame.
Pull the plastic down tight, and apply a strip of duct tape to the bottom of the plastic, where it meets the inside of the car door. Tightly pull the sides and corners of the plastic to the sides of the window frame, and apply strips of duct tape to anchor the sides of the plastic to the interior door frame. Shut the door.
Break off or cut sections of duct tape, and place them so that the perimeter of the window is covered, making it watertight and airtight.
There's something to be said for the old-style car windows which you hand-cranked up and down...
Rather than pay to for custom plastic windows or cut them to fit, can't you take some clear pieces of solid plastic (like the bubble packaging everything seems to come in nowadays) and cut it into strips which you attach to the plastic sheeting with clear packaging tape to strengthen it against the wind? If the plastic strips are curved, they'll resist bending better.
A think-tank of people familiar with doing the best with what they have sounds pretty cool! Would probably need training/schooling specific to the problems they were given to solve, but they would probably be quite good at finding unexpected non-standard solutions!
Reminds me of the OLPC people. They had to figure out a way to charge a computer reliably, on the cheap, AND lightweight, anywhere on Earth. Their solution was a crank and optional external charger.
I don't know what shape the window frames are on your trailer, but if they are in good condition, you can pay for relatively cheap window panes that you can then install yourself over time.

Being rich is a complicated thing. Some people are born into it, which is easy. Others get lucky, like lottery winners. Some are ordinary people who developed a rare talent or made an invention which turned out to be extremely valuable. And some (probably a lot) get there by siphoning a lot of money away from people who did more to earn it than they did.
I think most people in the middle class followed a tried-and-true path. They did well in school, avoided making any huge disasters in their teenage years, graduated college, and learned a semi-rare skill that they could develop into a stable career. They probably got a few lucky breaks along the way or had a few connections who helped them get over the common hurdles. And probably no terribly bad luck, like debilitating disease or a fire where they lost everything.
That Dave Ramsey plan looks like it could only work if you have a middle class income and low living expenses. For instance, Step 2 paying off all your debts is only possible if your debts are very small or you can afford to pay more than the interest on them; most poor people don't have enough income beyond bare living expenses to keep up with their high-interest debts. If I were making a multistep plan, I'd make the first step getting a stable well-paying job and the second step finding a safe place to live that you can easily afford with that job. After that, if you're thrifty, you can pay down debts and start a nest egg.
There is a plan to get rich. It is proven to work. Depending on your income, it takes 17 years on average to reach a million dollar net worth. Millions of people have worked this proven plan. I'm doing it. You can too!

The important thing is not to give up trying. If you give up trying while you're poor, then you're stuck being poor. Nearly all the small business owners I know had their first business fail. Several had multiple failures before they finally figured out something that worked. P.S. the easiest way to make money isn't a rare talent or invention or something valuable. It's to find something people are too lazy to do or learn by themselves, and figure out an easy/cheap way to do it for them for a fee. Lots of people are lazy.
My coworker said that if you need plastic windows that aren't too expensive, this might be an option. You can cut them to fit. But I'm not sure if Jeep soft-top windows would work with a hard-top truck or a camper.

hm wood panel and plastic combo is a good idea since the plastic can protect wood panel from rain or snow. keeping it dry and not letting it rot. I just hope the best for you.
