I like Lan, I'm very happy he's helping you out and I'm thankful that you put him to paper where I could meet him, all the rest of your wonderful characters and follow their stories! It brightens my day. I hope my comments help brighten your day, and hopefully I'll be able to do more than that once I too find employment! It isn't easy trying to make progress, but so long as there are stories to be told and read, I think it'll be worth it.
You say you are a teacher, are you good at articulating and understanding what others are saying? Would you like a chance to help others? I know of a place that will soon be hiring up to 30 new employees. They give full training on the job, pay you while in training, pay starts at 13.50 an hour with benefits and once you are actually working up to 200 a month in incentives are not uncommon.
The work is in an airconditioned office. Computer skills a plus as is a friendly phone personality. No it is not telemarketing. It is a help desk position for a Credit Union and i know several people who work there.
You would need to move to Rexburg Idaho for the position though
There are many things that you are very good at.
Communicating - (painting with words) you get the most complex and difficult ideas out with great clarity using fewer words than just about anyone I've ever read.
Your drawing - With just a few strokes of a pen, you present clear, precise images that your readers can instantly understand. Ideas and thoughts that many a famous artist would spend buckets of paint trying to express, you make clear with a minimum of ink.
Your writing and art is clear and efficient, you are truly very skilled.
Sadly, I don't know how to turn these great skills of yours into income other than here in a webcomic.
Clarity of thought and expression are not todays skills-in-demand. If anything, it's the opposite.
I'm glad that Lan and your kitty have been helpful at least. I've very rarely been in depression so deep that there doesn't seem to be any way out of it, but I remember how horrible it felt. You're very strong to keep continuing so long when you can't find a way to a better place. You're also very good at telling stories with comics, I don't think anyone else I've read has told me as many important things with comics. Anyway, I found you a couple neat things at the Japanese store in Epcot and I'll be sending them over in a package next week. I also might be able to visit you in July instead of September, if you'd prefer that.
You got to keep going. So much progress in the last year getting you back up on your feet and you have so many people reading this comic and the others you make rooting for you. So go and get some new pants. While your at it, a new shirt, too.
She's been sacrificing her mental health to make sure her most basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter are met. I think the next challenge will be making it to a place where her physical and mental health are stable but she doesn't lose any of the progress she's made. A better job would be the best thing for this, but like she says in the comic above, it's not easy.

i don't really expect anyone to say anything..but it helps when they do..because it say there is someone out there and they care..... today i am working on brushing my hair.. and writing letters because i cant be afraid that my friends will stop speaking to me because i am depressed.. some do and will.....and i made the page because lan is part of my mind and when he shows up.. he helps me by being unlogical..lets get killed by dinosaurs is a illogical answer but it foils the possible.. what can the critic say.. to that.. your bad at getting killed by dinosaurs ? you suck at being killed by dinosaurs! even god thinks you suck at being killed by dinosaurs.. i need to know i suck at being killed by dinos so i might as well brush my not pretty hair and eat something cus i cant remember when i ate last.. that's why i need and love lan..
