Hey all, with the new redesign of DD they are introducing a new ad network (which personally, I hope means fewer annoying/sneaky ads?) As part of this though, DD is not allowed to have adult (sex, not alcohol or gambling) ads on its pages, which includes ads which users have put on their own comic pages. They MAY be acceptable on A-rated comics, but will have to be double-checked individually.

SO, WHAT PEOPLE PLEASE NEED TO DO:

Please report any adult ads you see on a comic to myself or ozoneocean, using PQs

If you are a comic owner with adult ads, NOT on an A-rated comic, then you will have to remove them, sorry. (Or maybe change your rating to A?)

If you are a comic owner with adult ads, YES on an A-rated comic, then please notify myself or ozoneocean, because they will need to be double-checked against the new ad network's rules.


I can't say I've ever seen many adult ads on DD, so I don't think this will affect too many people. Thanks for your cooperation. Being able to put ads on comic pages is one of the perks of DrunkDuck vs some other comic hosts, but we do need to make sure any ads are within allowed guidelines.
