The site should be very quiet then. he needs to shut it down so that he can sort out a cheaper hosting plan with our server host.
It shouldn't take more than an hour or two, but anything is possible.

I hope all my fellow Canadian DDers and all our neighbours down South are partying it up! I decorated the little museum I work at with the help of some neighbourhood kids (I'm going to be finding mini Canada flags for weeks…) and went downtown for the fireworks! As usual, we had to park several streets away and across the river from where the fireworks were actually happening. It felt great to be in a big throng of happy people! And then not so great to be stuck in traffic as everyone drove home at the same time afterwards.
Did you do anything fun for Canada Day, or have big plans for Independence Day?

MOrgan has a pretty amazing milestone today - he signed up for DD and started posting his comic M. Organ Art(ADULTS ONLY) ten years ago! It's also the fifteenth anniversary of his pen name M. Organ. Congrats!

JNP cloned the site and tested it on a 64 bit deployment and it seems to have gone ok so I will make the move on the early hours of Wednesday instead :)

Well I was not able to complete the process because there was another hidden stumbling block, so the site will stay on its very expensive super redundant system that we don't need and we'll be bleeding money on that for no reason till we can overcome it. Because Linode sux... -Have to change over to a 64 bit system before we can change to a cheaper hosting plan... But that could break the site unless it's handled by someone who really knows what they're doing.
