It's up on the test site now, please go and check it out. There's now a counter that tells you you have a new comment or reply, just like with PQs, in the right hand control panel thingo. http://next.theduckwebcomics.com/
Log in there and make a comment on my comic and I will comment on yours :D

@ozoneocean: They did with me. Everything worked just fine, with one exception: I accidentally looked into the community blog's comment section, and all the comments were in some dark greyish colour on a dark green background, making them practically illegible. But there seems to be no such problem in any of the comics.

I've found that the comments don't mark themselves as "read" when you visit them. You have to do it manually.
