(last comment continued) After all, remember Vietnam and all the anti-war protest, that was what happened when propaganda failed to be convincing enough for people to let their friends be taken to die in the war. Lan better try to propagate that its the only way, he's at too far a disadvantage not to.

Its also not easy to fight a war when your citizens oppose the cause thats what propaganda is for, however in order for propaganda to work the falsified information must be supportable, tactically speaking it may be best if Lan let the captives walk away, they have served their primary purpose already, they focused attention on Lan enough to make it absolutely undeniably clear he is a pooka and is sentient, releasing them would do two things, 1 confuse the heck out of those in power, 2 (if they are walking or being helped to walk by Lan's zombies) contradict the propaganda not to mention if those soldiers are publicly debriefed which is doubtful,but if they are the reporting theme would be shattered. Only 50% of the strength of any army is in numbers and technology, the rest is willpower (how much their country supports their cause) and tactical intelligence, take your enemies willpower, their trust in their government then the people will refuse to support their country's military.

Mhalpern: It would. I mean, for those in power, who will not really be on battlefront, the war is definitely easier than changing their views and losing their source of money. Actually, I suppose there are lot of people who would consider even being on battlefront easier than changing their views.

all joking aside the report actually isn't that far off, even with eminent domain laws, that very well be darn close to the lowest monetary value of his demands, taking into account profit value in their case is much higher then market value... PS My hands are shaking just typing that, usually I have little problem looking at things from the darker angles to explore more of a story, but for this KNOWING what side i would blindly be on (more than likely) and what it would actually mean, what I would do until the truth were to whack me with a baseball bat, THAT is hard as I don't know if I would think twice, I'd like to think i would but would I really? Bravo Riley you have done what few writers dare to and pulled it off well, give your readers a point to question where they are on the "Good/Evil" scale that doesn't really exist.

Wades next video would be at the negotiating table, that will gain the non-traditionalist centaurs favor, now where's the guy with a petabyte handheld computer with on-board AI to hack the unedited video into all news networks who can also turn into a motorcycle or a toaster when you need him? Also there is a darn good reason why Lan doesn't care about "Green pieces of paper" and she happens to be the same color. Also I wonder Harpies and Dragons v Helicopter gunships.... I am thinking about how jet fuel and explosives and rocket fuel respond to intense heat, they should have magnesium, cobalt, copper and iron powder loaded in those choppers, no it has no tactical advantage but hey it would sound like the 4th of July anyway why not make it look like it.
