SS5 03 Keeping in touch with Janey

Hi all :) It's the middle of June here and yet it's cold and raining outside!! I think we've only had about ten really nice sunny days so far this year but at I hate extremely hot weather anyway so it's not so bad apart from I miss sitting out in the garden. I have two friends who live out in sunny California and dear Becky's one of them and she tells me it's pretty ‘mucho scorchio’ most of the time there. Emi always has lovely summers in Australia too so i think i probably drew the short straw on positioning there.
Anyways..yeah last week I said this was the Stacey/Cally page but I was wrong cos I'd forgotten about the Sarah/Janey page that came before it but the good thing is that we are a page ahead of ourselves at the moment and as we get more settled into doing the comic again we should be able to have some extra updates to help things move along a bit more quickly.
sooooo…Next Week: We get to catch up with Stacey and see how she's coping with her new baby daughter Cally.

Ah! Ditto - "June here and yet it's cold and raining outside" - but then it's Queensland, so it's winter ! B-) ...our winter is _supposed_ to be endless days of clear skies, June-Aug. They _used_ to be, and I loved them. Climate change, I guess. Once again, great to have S.S. back.

First off, love the comic. Secondly I have to say the thing that burnt me on Janeys's infidelity wasn't as much that she cheated, it was WHO she cheated with... the one person Sarah basically despised and was worried about. Honestly I wish Sarah never spoke to Janey again.... that's just me (Speaking as someone who has been through that particular life experiance).

Only just realised that 'Simply Sarah' is back, and I'm glad it is. It'll be interesting to see how Sarah's post-Janey life develops.

You could talk to some of the other authors who have managed to get thier comics published in book-form, maybe start a KickStarter to fund it (Spinnerette managed to raise over $80k)

Elusive: I knowwww!!! AS you must have guessed by now, Sarah pretty much speaks for me so that's pretty much how I felt about my chances of getting another girl especially as there was no internet for me back then either.

Didi: Yeah Janey always felt to me like the sort of person you can really go for for her lively personality etc but would tear your hair out trying to understand at times too! I've been accused of being a bit anti-male at times in the past but these lines of Sarah's dad are from my own experience so I do feel justified in repeating them just for the therapy of it! ;) And yes, Janey's incredibly ignorant at times for sure.

Kim: yeah, from what I've heard from friends nobody much likes moving back home once they've moved out, as no matter how well you get on you do tend to feel resticted in what you can and can't do.

Alpha: The first two chapters were put into book form for me by Rosalarian but in b+w only. It would be really lovely though at the end of this to find a publisher who might be willing to take a gamble on a complete volume of all five chapters in full colour.

A couple thoughts here, A. We know what a B!t(# Janey can act like, what better way to hurt Sarah than flaunt her "happiness" with a new G'friend. B. Remember, Janey is the one who strayed from the relationship, and remember her selfish immature attitude and actions. She will never be happy in a relationship, she'll always be looking for something else. I wouldn't be surprised she doesn't end up with some guy and raising a couple kids.

Ouch. That hurts. She has a new girlfriend, already? Wow. Janey really isn't having any trouble moving on. I could imagine how Sarah must feel. :( I'd be in Sarah's shoes in a situation like that.

See... this is why I had misgivings about Sarah keeping a friendship with Janey after all the crazy. But really, I guess it could have been fine if Janey hadn't mentioned the girlfriend part. I mean there are something you just shouldn't tell your ex, I think. On another note, yeesh. I didn't know Sarah's dad was like this. What an asshole.
