The story so far: Nikki has gender dysphoria and has tried to suppress her female side to live an ordinary family life. When Sarah first met her she had seperated from her wife and was living in the flat above and it was through Sarah that she began to relax more about being her true self. However Nikki still missed her wife and daughter and when the wife suggested they give it another try she was only to happy to return but it was on the condition Nikki kept her feminine side contained once again. Sarah and Janey had always accepted Nikki's longing to dress and live as a woman and so gave her that opportunity again on their holiday together in Scotland.
Tommym: As the others say, there's no need to apologise. If you felt passionate enough to let all that out then there's no need to feel guilty about it and I do always appreciate those of you who take the time to stop and sharee your thoughts rather than just reading and moving on again. *hugs*
As for the True to our Hearts forum, it was a lovely idea and worked well when Rei and Liz and a few others were very keen to keep the thing alive but I was nearly always spending so much time on getting the updates done (Twice weekly back then!) that my own support was very lame. In the end tho the place got flooded with spam and I later spent almost an entire day just removing weird posts of and ads and blocking the addresses that left them only to come back next day and see there were a load more and all appeared to be auto-generated by some computer. It's still up if you want to go in but I'd be amazed if anyone read what you left there as I'm sure it's just an old abandoned house now!:)

Dear Sky. @ Kim, Yes,I re-read those pages. I stand corrected, that dream is significant. That phrase "the real thing" Is a turn off to many women. I saw first hand how some men talk to women and worse the physical violence men do. Now that Sky has reminded me about the webcomic Nikki almost put on the web. I can now recall their was a noted discussion concerning the ethics of outing someone. I would have no problem outing a congress person or senator if lets say they were pushing anti women laws while leading a second duplicitous life. They are clearly liars and hypocrates sarah likes

My personal perspective on Nikki's offer was that I know Sarah has always got on well with her and they do have a very inseperable bond of close friendship but I've always felt Nikki dreams of a more intimate relationship than Sarah does and she's aware that it could cause problems if Nikki tried to push things further. Kim's right too in that the dream was really Sarah's subconcious awareness of what sharing a bed with Nikki meant (i'e Nikki's erection!) and magnifying it to a possible worse case scenario. Nikki was also pretty fixated on Sarah's life even when living above her, hence the comic book, and although Nikki' is not like Alison Sarah's probably aware that maybe her private life would be vulnerable too. I have some interesting stuff planned for Nikki anyway so she will plenty of other things to occupy her thoughts as we progress. ;)

Whatever happens, personally feel that Sarah should, and needs to, explain her preferences to Karen, this is not just about Nikki and things could get worse if Karen continues to believe Sarah is straight, especially if they do move in with Nikki paying the rent

Hmmm... This seems like it could work for Sarah, but I'm not sure why I have some misgivings... perhaps the same reason Sarah seems to be having some... Plus, that dream still creeps me out haha! I like these little synopsis you're giving in the author notes. I've got a pretty good grasp of the story now from the beginning, but they're still nice refreshers!
