Apologies for missing out last week. We were both generally very busy and Becky caught a stomach bug on top of everything which naturally isn't good for her Lupus as she has limited energy anyway. I did think about posting the b+w art only but as things are at the moment life for me is also posing some uncertainty and my days of self-employment and oodles of free time may soon be coming to an end. I'm really hoping I can get by on part time work so I still have time to do my art and the comic but until I'm settled down again I just wont know how regularly I'll be able to update. It's my own fault for extending the story really!! *slaps wrist*
But being as the page is now completed, I'm posting it earlier to ease the frustration of the most dedicated readers!

On a seperate note, Niccea has asked all the comics in the top ten to spread the word about this years comic awards because you guys clearly don't visit the home page enough! So shame on you!;) We've won so many of the most covetted awards over the years anyway that I try not to push people into voting for us any more. I did last year as I thought it would be nice for Becky to share in the glory with me but this year I'm just happy for people to do what they will and roll with it. But here's the link I've been asked to post and as always I do like to remind voters that winning is not half as important as just knowing your readers felt you deserved to!

Tommym: Haha That is a very good point and although I was thinking that Sarah and Janey were a pair of meddlers together I had forgotten that Nikki was once their subject, so that's a nice point to make.

Dear Sky, At first I thought "cheek" was because Sarah was being reminded of when She and Janey took it upon themselves to be the Miss Marple Twins. climbing the fire escape to espy on a neighbor who turned out to be Nikki. Bear: According to my timeline I now have about 50 pages left to go, which is a whole year of updates, so I should make it! The only trouble is that one note on my timeline can take up to three pages to cover while others happily fit three to a page so the final page total is always a bit uncertain.

DV: As Becky pointed out, it shows I'm human! lol You've also caught my perspective on Nikki as I just replied to Udyr. Apart from that dumbing down at that party it's nice to make her more and more adventurous!

"life's work" and "health" and how long we've got....basically why B.E. updates x3 per week ! B-) It's not far short of 450 pages and isn't half-way, even ! I suspect S.S. will still be going when I'm not ! B-)

Didn't feel it was a _glaring_ error, each panel has the pale green at the top and the first dark green stops inline with the left underarm (not always the case with the right :P), it's just the rest of the stripes between the underarm and cleavage :D (it was more of an observation than a critique, to artist _or_ colourist) ... Udyr: yeah, it seems Nikki is getting comfortable wearing hot outfits :D

Tommym: Thankyou and yes, she's all well again now. She was pet sitting last week for a friend and the dog got sick then she got sick, then her partner and finally when he came back from holiday, the owner too! The dog seems to be the key to it all. I've replied to last weeks comment too now btw.

Fred: I hope we both live long enough to see the end of this! At least I'm in good health at the moment and this is pretty much my lifes work so to not have it completed would be a great disappointment to me. I was recently viewing Rodiers version of Herge's last unfinished Tintin book 'Aplh-art' and even though the art is perfect I'm still sad it's not Herge's, plus nobody really knew how the story was meant to end so they've guessed it. I'd hate to think after all my efforts that this story could ever end up like that so I feel very driven to completing it despite any setbacks.

DV: I like how you draw my attention to a glaring error in such detail and then tell me not to fix it! How can I sleep now? lol Funnily enough I made a set point of making sure her neckline rested on top of a stripe as in some of the sketching it came half way through it, and I also ket the same amount of stripes from the neckline up as they run in line with the sleeves but I never bothered to count the stripes right down the arm! Southend-on-sea, Essex has always been the location for the majority of the whole story apart from holidays and Rochford and Canewdon are two very well known places to anyone who lives in this area as they are only about a 20 min drive from the town centre itself. The historic story of Matthew Hopkins the Witchfinder General is based in and around this area too.

Kim: As DV explains it's much the same as saying 'cheeky!' which means she feels mildly insulted. I often forget such expressions might be confusing overseas! I agree with what you say about degrees of belief in the paranormal etc. and that's why I felt it was both sensible and fun to represent two viewpoints in the comic, one with Janey feeding Sarah's imagination and the other with Nikki taking a much more logical and clinical approach.

Home page ? ...there' a home page ? B-) (I get their ads on faceache, but yeah, I hardly ever go there !) I empathise, Beck, whenever you (i.e. and me ) put a pattern on a dress, or floral shirt, it's a bugger to keep it consistent form panel-to-panel, let alone page-to-page. Get it wrong and you just know some anally retentive reader is going to...er...um...no, not you Dark' ! B-)

Yes, my dear, shame on you for "extending" for us your charming story over the past 9+ years, entertaining and inspiring us without asking anything in return. Such cheek...(hehe) Selfishly I want the story to outlive me, because I so enjoy the twists and turns and loose ends, and hope that you will be able to continue to present your work here. At the same time, I would hope that losing free time might mean gaining employed time that will be financially or professionally valuable. If that's the case, then you go, girl.

@DarkVisor... yeah lol I tried to color it consistently starting with the light green at top, and making sure her cuffs were dark green at the bottom. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not! You've got a keen eye! Or maybe you were focused on her cleavage? :P hehe

Not at all surprised by Nikki's reaction (and her comment about Janey), and just how familiar is she with Canoe-den that she knows it is ripe with myths? ... Kim: In this case, 'Cheek' is short for "What a cheek", basically it's the polite way of saying someone is being a 'smart-arse' (because in this case, it is the butt-cheek not the face-cheek), or maybe it's similar to saying "How rude!"

Ooo, Sarah has one of those magical tops that changes its patterns! In panel one and four, the stripe under cleavage is the dark green, in panels three five and six, it is the pale green. Also the number of stripes change as well: panel one it has six from the shoulder to under-cleavage, panel three five and six, there are five stripes; and in panel four just four stripes ... please don't 'fix' it
