My name is Jessica. I live in Austin, Texas. Im in my mid-20s and I have two cats: Fluffy Kitty and Stimpy. I didnt name either of them, but thats a whole story on its own. Ive spent my whole life in this city, so Im not really a worldly person at all, but I DO NOT have a southern accent. Theres not much to say about me… I graduated high school, took a few college courses, and ended up working in the customer service department for a local cable company for almost six years. I dropped out or work to go back to school again and now I work part time in a coffee shop in downtown Austin. My life? One big adventure.

Howd I get to be here on DD?

Im really Amandas best friend, roommate, and comic-helper. Weve been best friends since the 3rd grade. Salt the Holly is her idea, world and story. About once a week, shell come to me all pumped up about some ideas shes got for the comic and Ill listen to them and then put in my input. Somehow, well both go on some sort of tangent where we live in the make-believe world of Salt the Holly and play god with all the little characters. Thats so fun.

Im around Salt the Holly about 30% of the time, so you might notice a change in art here and there. I also help with the story. Amandas the primary writer. I like to say that I just tweak up the script a bit.

Salt the Holly is a great outlet for me. In the real world, I dont get much of an opportunity to play with my artistic talent so its really nice to be able to exercise my skills here. Its also fun to assist and see Amanda get better in her own skills. Shes come a long way over the years and has had the best improvements since joining Drunk Duck. Youll probably notice just how much shes improved in some of her bonus links shell post on occasion.

But Not Really is a comic we started after we got such great reviews from our 2008 Drunk Duck Awards photo-comics. We had so much fun making them. Where do we get our inspiration for BNR? BNR is a lot like our daily lives…but not really.

I wonder how things are going to progress? I guess well just have to keep making our comics and see.

…Okay, I just read the comment Amanda wrote on me AFTER I wrote all this nice stuff about her. So, to all you readers out there: Ignore all the nice stuff about her. She is a jerk and I recommend that everyone avoid her at all costs!!!!
