I love doing artwork, but my love of music, comics and books in general drive me to create. This book was written by me and my best friend, and we started when we were 12. Its been some fourteen years since, and I finally have the skill to put our epic tale to paper in the form of a novel. Yay!

I draw influences from everything. Im a huge art history and ancient history nerd.

My favorite bands are Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Pink Floyd, Stabbing Westward…kinda dated, I guess. I listen to other bands, too, of course. It all depends on the scene Im drawing.

My favorite composers are Giusseppe Verdi, Vivaldi, Bach and Johann Strauss Jr., although I really like listening to all genres of classical and movie soundtracks while I work.

The comic books I collect are Conan (The original comic), Blade of the Immortal, Vagabond, Lone Wolf and Cub, Samurai Executioner, The Stand, The Dark Tower…theres a lot of them, but it seems most of what I enjoy is a bunch of gnarly violence in a fantasy setting.

My favorite videogames are also an influence: Castlevania series, Street Fighter series, Fallout 3 (I was addicted to this thing), and I dont want to try WoW cuz Im sure Ill become a vegetable.

Classical painters and historical artists are also influences: Jean-Honore Fragonard, Albrecht Durer (my favorite of all time!), Caravaggio, Titian, Alphonse Mucha, Henri de Tolouse-Lautrec and Maxfield Parrish are a few of them.

Other things have influenced me, as well; cartoons like The Thundercats, The Silverhawks, Dinosaucers, Robotech, Bravestarr, and St. Seiya have had huge influences in my style.

Pretty Moving Pictures in a string: Wladyslaw Starewicz, The Quay Brothers, Mark Romanek, Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam, Adam Jones, Disney, Pixar.

Graphic Designers, too: Haley Johnson, James Victore,Saul Bass,Giambattista Bodoni,Milton Glaser and others…
