I'm not sure if I like the narration or not. Personally I hate having exposition but sometimes it's the best way to move the story at a reasonable pace. Of course I always think that my first pages are my worst ones.

I like the narration ^.^ It's useful and, in this case, completely non-invasive. I like how you drew the house - you did a great job of making it look empty and sort of sad.
