Trouble down at the old mill

Oh hey that comic totally updated! I better go check it ou– oh gross what the hell Bruised Oranges comic maker person, why did you upload that thing? WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU GOD. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COMIC, GOD.
Actually… it does! This is a panel from the first page of the new Bruised Oranges comic, which is looking really good so far! Once the new comic goes up, I'll be taking the old pages down and retconning them – save them while you can!
Long story short, I'm restarting the comic completely. :X I was just too unhappy with the story/story direction itself to want to continue with it. As I was working on the first set of revamps I found that it wasn't just the art bothering me but many things about the story as well. I also had no idea what the hell I was doing (and still don't, haha!) so it was a learning experience for me, the lessons of which I will be applying to the new one to hopefully create a better reading experience. :X
I'm ashamed that it took me this long to finally put my foot down and scrap the old material, and have been really enthusiastic about working on the new story lately! Same characters, same setting, but the circumstances are different this time around.
TL;DR: New Bruised Oranges adventure time, the old pages are no longer considered canon and being taken down when the new story is released.
I'm sorry to anyone who I might have disappointed with this, but I can't go on with a flawed creation where working on it felt more like a chore than something I enjoyed. I learned a lot in its creation, so it does still hold value to me for that, but as a finished product I was unhappy with it on the whole and there were things I felt really embarrassed about in the initial execution.
I will be posting more detailed information at the sketchblog here: http://bruisedoranges.livejournal.com/ as things progress. I hope you all look forward to the new story, and thank you for being so patient with me. :)
(Yes, I'm actually going through with this.)
(And yes, it will be posted sometime this year if not very soon. ;P)

Love your pic. 'Tis awesome. Cool comic, too. Love the late Victorian era. I'm gonna fave this, so please don't abandon it for a year, lol.

Also, the best part? You finally get to see how Abbie and Arthur met with this new story. :V Traumatizing!

@Orin: Considering it's past 3 AM and I'm sitting here staring down the last panel of the first new page, I'd like to think I'm gonna be making more. ;) The new pages take a very long time to do though, especially with school to juggle... been hacking away at this one for a week. It looks damned good though. And I'm on spring break so I've got plenty of time to work on more. :B
