Where we've got to: Detective Donner and ace reporter Janet Wilkins, following up on Donner's instincts about the strange Maltese Fish-man statuette, visited Alexander Richbury in his office tower. Richbury's deadly henchwoman Nova—who had previously killed Donner and Wilkins— tried to grab Wilkins's purse but she punched Nova so hard that Nova was smashed through the office doors. Richbury telephoned for assistance….
