A Spell for Disaster

Oh that's right, I do come in here to update this every once in a while, don't I? Thanks once again for all the patience!
Hmm..answer to a question time! I use a myriad of media to make one of these comics, depending on what kind of page it is. My hand-colored one was mostly markers and colored pencil where markers were too dark, but most of these are done this way: Draw them by hand, scan them in and color them in photoshop with a mouse. All the brushes I use are ones I custom made, and I rarely use filters. I'm a little nervous someone will accuse this of being “over-photosopped” but that can't be helped when it's what you're using to color with to begin with…I'm sure that refers to mad filter abuse though. (hey, I admit, those filters are fun shortcuts! But I still go the long way, because I tend to like the way that turns out better.)
Of course as with anything here, if anyone has questions about how to do certain things in photoshop I am more than happy to share. Nothing here is a secret I wish to horde to myself. Not that I'm the expert or anything, I just know a lotta crap about photoshop. I even learned a fun way to make watery effects, with the blur tool set to “fingerpaint” (it smudges on whatever color you were using last) that is how I ended up with the potion being slashed onto Rosemary. Isn't she terribly cute when she's being an evil brat? As much as she loves her sister, she hates Menu 10 times more…and obviously isn't afraid to step on her to get at him, unfortunately. If you notice too, her sweet voice is a lot like Claire's. I gave her the “serious” font because it is like that of someone whom she takes after a bit at times…
