As usual, Amelius, your art is just fantastic, as is the story it illustrates! Since you ask, on my screen (standard modern 20" Apple TFT, settings not mucked about with) there isn't actually a true black even between panels, so maybe the scan is a little underexposed technically but that isn't hurting it. It's definitely less saturated and brighter than every other page you've posted recently, but it certainly doesn't look 'really, really crappy'. ^___^

Hey there :) This page has inspired me to make my first CTV comment [yay :) ]. I found the outdoor scene combined with the amazing use of texture and shading to be visually stunning, but lacking in the hue saturation/contrast areas (No doubt the fault of the scanner) so i plugged it into the GIMP, increased the saturation and contrast a bit, and I think I now have something close to your original work. its probably the fairy king, he seems to get on well with that royal family, the font doesnt seem florid enough, but who knows, look at the mermaid and merman! big difference!

I'd say it's King Samrick. He says your majesty, and Benito isn't alarmed. I'd think if it wasn't Samrick, he would be able to smell it with...T-Rex senses? Gopher sense? But more importantly the font looks really similar. Or the Vampire King, but that wouldn't make sense since Kavonn is indirectly the reason the mostly wholesome slaughter of his minions and his wife (girlfriend?) happened. I also like the this page. The marker coloring is really a nicer touch than just straight forward photoshop.

You are so good at coloring by hand!! I always make my monitor really dark so it looks perfect on my computer. It's not too bright if I turn it all the way up, either. :)
