It's More Likely Than You Think...

New page size! I'm going back to the “as many panels as it takes” approach as opposed to the “fit everything into this printer-paper sized template” thing I've been doing for years. I just wish I'd decided to give up on keeping it consistent on the previous page! I'm hoping that will result in faster updates. Is it odd that opening up the possibility of more panels speeds things up? I was experimenting with a side project and that seems to be the case. When I can tell more story per update I think it motivates me more.

The tree Charby is referring to is this tree, (refresher since it has been a whole year since that page!) and not the Lemuro tree from last update. A whole lot of weird trees of varying levels of importance are sprouting up in this comic, eh?
Charby decided a giant white wolf-dog carrying an unconscious little person would look way less suspicious than carrying Mannick in his adult form, if anyone saw him they wouldn't be asking a wolf what's up and if they can help. Clearly he also wasn't expecting to run into a Hunter in the middle of the day AND at the secluded part of the park that he enters the forest path to the cabin from. Also confirmed (by the acorn) that Mort is one of the aforementioned “Family” Hunters that Grandma spoke of being on Blaine's team, sort of keeping an eye on Victor! So on this page, that is indeed Mort's grandpa, dad and mother confronting John Marlowe!
