Thus ends chapter 4. Next chapter, our group will be chasing the Gangers instead, as we find out more about their methods, their goals, and why they're capturing all these Death-avatars!
But for the next few weeks, we'll be doing other things, like origins for some more of the Gangers and other surprises. Some of us will be taking a well-deserved rest. And everyone in the States, I'm sure, who's superhero-oriented, will want to watch a certain superteam movie coming out Friday…
Nice page, Al. However, I can't help but wonder: Did you intentionally move Perfect's left hand up a bit in the last panel? If so--smart move . . . If his hand was in a lower position, it would've been easy to mistakenly think that Energize was a bit overexcited about the situation.
Pragmatic- though it looks like there may need to be some team-trust mending on this one. Hopefully it doesn't cause any more splintering in the team.
That said, loving the story so far!

@algeya: I would assume because the Gangers would at some point see the tracking spell on P.S., but not look as closely at whatever random weapon she happened to grab?
Welllll....
The Gangers would have attacked regardless....
Suki would have grabbed a weapon regardless...
I was tempted to have Hoodoo put in a comment like, "Actually, we expected Suki to go for Mindmistress"(who after all, she had more reason to resent) but didn't really have room.
But I think part of it was...I don't want to call Mindmistress clueless, ever, but what seems obvious to HER isn't necessarily obvious to everyone else. I think she honestly thought everyone realized...
(A) The Gangers could be anywhere in the multiverse, so their group had to bring the Gangers to THEM.
(B) That this was their only chance to track them, by doing something with Suki.
(C) That given Suki's temperament, if you take her hammerspace handbag away, she'd HAVE to grab a weapon from the various weapons mounted.
Ergo....
But yes---do some of them have a right to resent and call her (and Hoodoo) on it? Absolutely!
Hogan- That's the way supergeniuses always operate. How can the common rabble be impressed if they know what's going on? Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Who operate the same way.
Nice plan, but still... the others are in their right to be a bit miffed on not being let in on it, especially considering several phases of it put them in mortal danger before it was completed...

Now Yuki's going to be the one with trust issues, and rightly so. Plus Yuki gets to add the word "hypocrite" as a bonus.

I like Hoodoo's "magic arrow" and those flat squares are supposed to be other dimensions?
