See? She really didn't have her memories taken away. They're recessed at the moment, but they will return to her in time, when she's mature enough to be a part of the network of heroes.
The tone I really wanted to go with here was that life goes on. Lisa returns to the mundane life from which she had escaped for a little while. Time to be a kid again.
I wanted this to be special. I actually had this drawn in my style at one point, but then I decided it would actually work better if I ended it in Ida's style instead. Obviously, I can only impersonate Ida's style to a degree, but I think I did alright.
And finally, who better to draw this series to a close than Ronson himself? If you don't know who Ronson is (and shame on you if you don't), then you need to check out The Gods of Arr-Kelaan, which is, in my opinion, quite possibly the best webcomic ever written.
And that's our tale, boys and girls. Curtain call, and all that jazz.
I just finished this after putting off the reading for almost a decade. I loved it so much. Great all around (though it made me extra sad about the demise of 'Green Avenger'.
I suspect Dasien might leave hers with HEROES UNITE.
That's actually a really good idea. I really have no use for it in my own series, so I can just have her drop it off with the HU Commander, where it could clearly get more play in the future.
I'll have to run that by the guys in Heroes Unite.
RE: Joe's excellent questions.
What's happening in Smiley's world after he's left will be addressed in FLICKERFLAME.
Nobody except the few who specifically shown to get their minds wiped got their minds wiped. (The Green Avenger, A.N.T.) If a recipient of the Silver Sphere abuses it, I imagine Jenny Everywhere would relieve them of it. Ditto if they die and nobody to leave it to. I also suspect, a la the Green Lantern rings, they would come back to Ringo in the event of the owner's death. Still, it's basically an alarm, and a way to access Ringo's dimension, nothing more.
Others might give the spheres to a society of heroes on their world or a world they work with. I'm sure MM is going to take one to MAGELLAN. I suspect Dasien might leave hers with HEROES UNITE.
Other decimated realities? We may see.
Now, I've been thinking, and I've come up with some lingering questions with which to irritate you... like, can hundreds of other heroes from myriad other universes really all be trusted with those devices? Many of them are probably either unstable or comically inept. Will they have their minds altered as well? And even if the hero in question is trustworthy, who's to say those bits of technology won't fall into the wrong hands if something were to happen to them? After all, aside from the odd immortal, most of this "Crosstime Corps" will have passed on after a lifetime or two. And what happens if some multiversal menace comes along a century from now? These things tend to operate in epic blocks of time. A single generation of heroes won't cover much more than a blip in the lifespan of a universe. A patient immortal destroyer of worlds could just sit back and read a book for a few decades before attacking.
And another thing... what's to become of the worlds the Smiling Man decimated? From what we saw, his own Earth is now populated by zombies. Without him to hold it all together, what will become of his dystopian empires and their people? The worst dictators know that the best way to manage your slaves is to make them dependent on you. We also saw evidence that he farmed out management of other realities to other powerful villains. What about them?
ending was great, Neil did a great job imitating her art style, and speaking of, what ever happened to her, did she just disappear or am I missing something here?
About the use of Ringo and other CROSSOVERLORD-only characters like the Keepers...
"Look, if you want to use Ringo or any of the other characters created in CROSSOVERLORD, check with one of us first. If it's a simple cameo appearance, like nine-tenths of the appearances of the Watcher in Marvel Comics, for instance, we'll almost always grant it. However, we ask you to leave off exploring Ringo's origins or broading sweeping parts of the history of the Crossoverseers without checking with us first."

Well, yes. There's that.
But then, at the very beginning, Lisa was complaining about how there hasn't been any acts of villainy lately and that she was bored. So it looks as though ANT's duties in her home world have been rather light.
