Happy Friday, everybody.

Danielle may have gotten herself in over her head. Her emotional attachment to Lizzy and her family is pulling her apart inside. Danielle’s remaining humanity is being shoved aside by her vampiric nature. Despite her affection for her friend, Amy, Danielle is being overwhelmed by blood lust triggered by Amy’s fear. If Danielle succumbs to this, all hope may be lost for everyone in the Hansen house, including Danielle.

Dani tries hard to resist, but sometimes the urge is too powerful. Unfortunately, Dani is feeling the compulsion to feed on her friend. Not a good thing for either of them.

Had to come to that. Dani must again find out who's really at the helm, and the only way to do that is the hard way. Life is full of points like that for everyone already and I imagine excessive gamers ("Just one more evil lord to clobber up, then I'll go to bed.") or ex-smokers at a party ("Just one pull, it's nothing, and tomorrow it's back to normal.") with their additional burden may be even more aware of that. Can't begin to imagine how much worse it must be for a vampire where it's nature ("Just one small sip... she'd lose more if she cut herself in a kitchen accident..."). o.O

This is why Danielle usually shies away from befriending mortals. The blood lust is powerful and very difficult to resist. To relent and feed may satisfy her hunger, but she will be plagued with remorse and guilt afterward.

This is what Dani has to deal with. Blood lust is so strong it can cause her to see friends as victims. It will take all her will to fight the compulsion.
