Funny side story, I had originally planned for Dahwul to be the one who jumped in but I changed it at the last minute. The plan for Dahwul was to have him be this quiet guy who was “just there” but he'd play a big role in the end. Then I realized that wasn't right. The book started with Khume and Efril (or at least Anthony in Khume's body) and that's how it should end.
