It's important for this comic for Seth/Sarah to have a completely supportive (but realistically-minded) friend. And also someone she can just be silly with. So Irma plays a definite role in the comic and the interaction of characters beyond “sidekick.”

Shes the ideal supporting character to me, whenever Sarah is in trouble she's always to the rescue with her funny costumes and lines… I dont think the comic would be what it is without her.

I like Irma because she does play a critical role in the story, and the comic would be pretty different if she weren't around. She supports Sarah in a bunch of ways as well as provides childlike perspective and comic relief.

The top nominee by popular vote was Nick/Nikki of Simply Sarah.
