Casty Xanthis is your average first year medical student, up all night on coffee binges and books. His parents are middle class, blue collar workers who have saved their entire lifetime to put him through Washington University, one of the best medical schools in the world. As well as one of the most expensive.

After his second semester Casty realizes that he is in way over his head. Failing test after test, he's desperate to find a way to increase his IQ. Casty is not exactly a social butterfly, he doesn't have any friends to turn to for help. He's only got a little time before he is kicked out for his grades. Casty will try anything, no matter what it is.
