Fun Fact from a previous commenter: rubber bullets are supposed to be fired at the ground so that the bounce back up and hit people's legs. They are not supposed to be fired directly at people and they are definitely not supposed to be fired at people's heads and chests. Unless the one's firing are assholes. Okay, now that I remember I don't know how to format longer posts well, let me try to create a less messy version of what I originally posted as a comment. I don't know if hitting Alex directly with rubber bullets is the best way to "accidentally" kill Alex. Of course, that may be exactly where the story is going; someone wants Alex HURTING, and is willing to risk his death, but didn't take advantage of the riot to (relatively) easily kill him and make it look like an accident. I mean, even if the cops were using plastic bullets or the like, isn't it easier to have a "rioter" hit Alex with something more lethal?
