I'm putting together a crossover project for next year to run through multiple comics and hopefully benefit the Hero Initiative. If you want to participate, e-mail me at karamesser@hotmail.com or PQ me on this site.

I've also started an IndieGoGo campaign to help me pay for artists for my projects. Please go to the campaign site and donate some money. I would appreciate it if you could give money. There are some fun perks involved. The site is here: http://igg.me/p/213480?a=408482

Also, Heroes Alliance, here on Drunk Duck, has begun uploading a story I wrote and many drew. Sure, I drew more pages than anyone else, but there is some great art in it, too. I wrote the story two years ago, so it's nice to see it finally going up. It'll update daily starting Thursday, but the cover page is up today.

Top page: Panel 1 still looks off to me, but at least I hope the action is clear. This has now gotten to the end of my initial conceptual ideas for the story. There is more to go–a page or two, likely, but I'm not exactly sure what will happen. But as you can probably tell, this is not a happy story for him.

Bottom page: I finally draw Eiderdown right here. Notice she's not fat, but a little pudgier than most superheroes. Her belly sticks out a little more, as well, because she's sitting down (and stomachs like to look bigger in a seated position). Also, her Spanish is nicely correct this time–I used much better morphology than in issue 4, I guess. Note that sometimes I like to put in bilingual bonuses here and there for people who, unlike me, know both Spanish and English. I'd do the same with Lao, but there's no accurate translator, and so I tend to only translate it when I can go word-by-word (small phrases, really).
Fractal mentions a revelation from the end of issue 4–Julie's mom called her and revealed that she knew Julie was Eiderdown. I have Julie avoiding her mom, in part because it makes me able to show the confrontation later, but also because I want to show she's scared of the confrontation. I would be, too. Since I project a lot of myself onto Eiderdown (her race and the fact that she drinks alcohol and coffee notwithstanding), I made her react the way I might.
The women at the end are my creation. I definitely wanted Eiderdown and Fractal to meet them in the Caper, so here we go. The one on the phone mentions the HUniverse reality, and there is something they're planning there. If you want confirmation of what it is (before I say so in-story), check out the Heroes Alliance story mentioned above.
