Yup, her mind won't work very well after that too, making her taking an unexpected decision later. But it only can be noticed in a progressive scale. She keeps quiet for many pages, so it's hard to know what she's thinking. Her feelings will be shown by her facial expression before she freaks out.

Her scene is back in page 17, this chapter is long, with 31 pages. But the results on her psyche are clear later, when she's safe and her voice is back. After that monstrous scene, she loses her voice for a moment in the story (trauma + successive strong squeezes in her neck, damaging her throat).

If the kings are running late, maybe she's a damsel in distress that will have to help herself. Poor girl, she needs to act quickly or the lieutenant will end up killing her o__o
