the line should be 'fucking sweet blueberry' instead of 'mothafuckin blueberry' as the hollywood ghetto lingo is out of place for her character. as for dasien, by taking out the language you wouldn't lose anything, as it flows rather naturally with the situation and characters, though can easily be cleaned up (and most media does so for equivalent stuff). as for the sex stuff it is a tad off, feels forced, but is a way of showing a lesbian relationship thing (which falls outside kid zone anyways) while at the same time stands out as sort of a joke about how bedroom life is at odds with life outside the bedroom (a definite subtext in dasien with the whole taboo interest of dasien by parker), and removing such sexual content would definitely remove an adult context to the story (and by adult i don't mean nudity) similar to south park's adult subtexts (why the gore and profanity removal wouldn't help the show). so the forced nature of the sex stuff serves a purpose.

About there being no real danger: We already know she survives at least till Crossoverlord (where she was present with her red costume). And she will still be alive at Crossoverkill (of course, it might be a "alive again" thing with superheroes). And this has been the pre Col Dasien until recently. The crossover knowledge does take it's toll on the preceived danger.

Don't know it is a reflection of life maybe maybe even some social commentary. Things can seem really innocent and cutesy but there's an adult side deep under the surface that you don't see except in the bedroom or people who are okay swearing front of others. I've been told to curb my swearing and there are others who drop it every second word so it's okay and there are those who like to shock you with the random f-bomb. It reflects reality. And there even realities that look like kids shows and them *poof* this adult interlude brought to you by Trojan Condoms. WTF???!!

Don't know if I'd agree about South Park. I guess superficially if you take away the adult content it would *look* like a silly kids' show, but it's still loaded with very grown-up social satire and takes on serious and controversial social topics. The cartoony nature of the show is like candy coating on an aspirin: it's there to help make the message easier to swallow, but deep down it's still very grown-up medicine. If you made it a show kids could watch, ninety percent of the satire would go right over their heads.

Ah, I knew I'd get dinged for the sex and language. I am aware of the over abundance of f-bombs, but they're generally not intended to be humorous. (Although a small percentage of them are.) On the other hand, I had trouble having characters who would become extremely agitated and not say words that normal people would say. So it's a delicate balancing act. One thing of note is that in terms of cheesecake, I was just as heavily influenced by Dirty Pair as I was by the Archie comics. (By the way, I assume that your use of Betty and Veronica was a deliberate one based on how obviously a fan I am of those comics.)

Haha... I dunno... I feel the same way about Southpark - remove the brutal language and situations and it's a kid's show... I guess the difference is with Southpark, it's constant, whereas with Dasien is just sorta 'every once in a while' so maybe it feels more jarring!
