... They're at the point where they teach spells and mana enhancers are a thing. Their magic is just a science that requires some form of mostly innate ability (I say "mostly" because it can be transferred, and there's a spook running around who can gift it), an outside power source, and a lot of skill to use.

Not many people really know how ourt technology works today, but they are comfortable using it - love the art in this strip, very well done! The shape of their ship makes for some great panel blocking.

Sufficiently reliable magic is a form of technology. (Even if you do not know how the magic works, it is comparable to how you can still have technology before you discover gravity).
