oh yeah, for the record a staffsword is not a staff you can use as a sword it it a sword with a very long handle, basically a sword on a short staff. Very dangerous to use and you never want to meet the wrong end of it. I researched all kinds of weapons in my quest to be accurate while writing my books. http://shaolinlohancenter.com/images/long-staff-broad-sword.jpg is a true staffsword. The historical name for a sword hidden in a staff is sword staff Same goes for sword cane because the staff/cane is the sword's sheath but like most things, people get stuff like this mixed up.
