hmm if HK asks for help with these two, i wonder whom would be sent... We've already seen Madam Morte send long dead relatives to talk to the living, perhaps someone who died in a solo delaying action against an onslaught of angels?

does she really want to though? Pooka highly respect those whom resisted their chains until freedom, even if they didn't break them themselves, and HK not only resisted hers, but her's weren't just physical, i mean look at their hierarchy below Monty, its basically him, then Striker whom liberated themselves and the rest of their farm without outside aid, then the council, comprised largely of those whom kept those that weren't captured or raised in captivity free, along with representatives from other tribes and groups. Monty is alpha because he represents and enables a future beyond desperate fighting.

It's nice to have a comic where the characters respect the artist, rather than fear or dislike. In "Pearls before Swine", they often beat him up. For good reason. One assumes that some of these characters never fully got over their exposure to web comics awareness potion.

the other factor to consider is, even if Anchor is producing half a dozen to a dozen blades per day (which even with help is a lot for larger blades) not only has it not been a lot of time, but the people whom they'd want on the job will take time to recruit normally, so there might be a small stockpile of blades waiting for appropriate souls to wield them...

I suddenly had the thought that Lana, Boo's and HK's necromancy are going to be quite important for the response, zombies can act as an in situ rescue force and they'd act as temporary soul anchors to ease the pressure on the reapers.
