Honestly i prefer the black n white, with touchs of color, when the mood strikes...nothing overbearing like the last couple of pages...i mean color is good, but a range of it would be more pleasing to the eye. They do catch your eye too, the pop of color in a b&w setting...I'm not sure if you have done this type of page...but for permanent, i would find something that you can call your signature...but it all really depends on you...

Thanks everyone for your comments, critique, advice and support. ^_^ I'll continue to play around with style but certain things i know i think i will keep. [side note, excuse my grammar...i'm lazy] I want to address some comments...mostly to address Riku's comments. I like the red. lol yeah, simple as that. ANYWAY... Regarding font, freakeh is absolutly right about why i choose different font. It's actually to distinguish the character's dialogue via script. If you look closely, i use the same font for Prius throughout the comic as well as for the other characters. It's especially key to a page of this style becuase there are no speech bubbles. I thought about added speech bubbles but i thought it would get in the way of the structure of the page as well as deter from the artistic angle. So distinguished fonts for each character is actually helpful becuase you know what dialogue each character is saying. If they were the same character, some people might get a little confused as to who is saying what (if you take the page out of context). I agree about the shading. i think the pages looked a lot better with more shading, bolder lines and shadows. XD but i'm a lazy bitch. i don't get a lot of free time on my hands and i spend more time on the sketch and inking of my pages rather then the cg of them. another reason why i don't spend a lot of time with shading is that i'm still going through different styles. once i pick one, i do plan on paying more attention to shading, lighting, highlighting and so forth. ^_^ forgive me of my laziness. "try hard fangirl"....hmm...i don't remember using my characters as fan based parody characters. i don't seem to recall being a fangirl of any anime let alone show my fan-girl-ism via this comic. exactly how does using japanese make me a fangirl? should i have used Francais? Or how about Tagalog? would that make me less of a fangirl? i don't like the whole "english only" "japanese only" structure. I don't like to narrow myself in those realms. especially with language. i use different languages in my day to day life i don't see why i should keep one langauge though the dialogue of my comic. in actuality, no one uses straight english, japanese, or whatever language. don't get me started on how english isn't just english either, but a conglomeration of other languages as well. But english has infiltrated into other cultures and languages as well. Especially in asian languages. Even in anime, you see english. In the Philippines, there's no Tagalog anymore...it's taglish. No one uses straight tagalog anymore. Even when they come to america, the intermingle of english and another language is always used. You're lucky i only use about 5% japanese in here. I'd use 50% more or less if i didn't have to write translations for each text. be glad i don't put in other languages and just have you all fend for yourselves as far as translations go. but to each their own, right? personally, i just don't like to be structured that way. so the use of another language in a comic, i just think it's a reflection of modern society and how language has evolved. i don't know, who else speaks other languages in their daily life? Raise your hand. now how many of you use the language straight without adding english into it? i bet there's still a lot of hands raised there. as for informality...i don't think my comic is supposed to be formal. 0_o or realistic. I never intended the comic to become serious in all actuality...o-o the heavy drama thus far was really...random. 0_o But in all seriousness, thank you for your honest critique and advice, Riku. Until now, i never really knew how people felt about the style or techniques i used in my comics. i didn't know what needed explaination as to why i did things so that was really of great help. i hope my explaination wasn't too drawn out and boring. but it'll give everyone a sense as to why i do the things i do (oooh, isn't that a line from a song somewhere? bah). Great coimc though, I love that you're approaching this subject matter from a fantasy POV. Totally off subject here, but I keep having dreams that I have to tell mc chris something important, but he won't listen. You're givin me flash backs of rejection man!

Lots of comics change fonts dependant on character though... it adds effect on particularly on this page it allows you to know who is saying what. I like your general style so far, just do what feels natural to you. I like the different tones of red in this page though =3

Yeah, definitely keep playing around. You'll stumble across something you like. It took a few months for me to settle on a style for MoT and there were some baaaad decisions in the process lemme tell ya. XD I think you're doing great so far! And like skulldog said, be sure it's something YOU like. If you're passionate about it, other people will catch on. :)

Very nice comic. However I have a few pointers. These aren't insults. Im just trying to help you improve a bit. ^^ 1. Download a standard font. I suggest you dont keep changing. It looks... Well... Bad. Google 'comic fonts' and pick one. ;) And deffinately never ever use Comic Sans MS. 2. A little bit of shading went a long way in one of your pages. Giving the girls two different shades of hair colour did wonders. It stopped them seeming like the same person. :3 Keep that idea up. 3. Either make your comic in Japanese or English. (Not both) Not because some people can understand. It seems like you're being a try hard fangirl. No anime has half Japanese half English unless it has a bad translater. It makes me want to eat myself. 4. When the narrator is describeing something eg. Character Information. Try not to make it say informal stuff like 'shes a bit of a nut'. It ruins the continuity and the realism of the story. As for the semi perm style. It's good to experiment with a few things as long as you keep a good consistancy with the comic. ;) Eg. Dont make the char's hair colour change and try to pick a font that stays the same.
