40. For want of a lighter

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is pretty good, but not great. But it's also pretty long, so I don't feel bad for having purchased it–the size of it kinda balances out the not-epitome-of-awesomeness-but-still-decentness of it.

Is it sad that I've gotten like this? “It's not great, but at least it's playable and more than ten minutes long. Sure, I'll shell out full price for that.” I'm scared that Fallout: New Vegas is going to be that way–I mean, it couldn't possibly be BAD, they're just rolling over the formula from Fallout 3 and making a new game with it. It could very easily be MEDIOCRE, though, when Fallout 3 was fantastic. Yeesh. At least I've still got Etrian Odyssey. Also, more videos are being put on YouTube of the LittleBig Planet 2 beta, and it looks ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. Omgomgomg. So good.

Speaking of good games, let me switch tracks for a second. I'm a sucker for roleplaying–not just RPG videogames like Chrono Trigger or Persona, but like, tabletop roleplaying and forums. Forums in particular are sort of a passion of mine, and I used to run alot of community-based roleplays when I was a younger lad. Anywho, somebody suggested me one the other day and it's actually pretty nice, it's just struggling for members at the moment since it just started. I myself don't have time to do forum roleplays (between life and the comic), but I'd like to pass this one along to everyone else so maybe it can flourish.

So if you're into forum-based roleplaying, and are a Legend of Zelda, check out http://hyrulelegend.proboards.com. Like I said I'm not a member myself, but I'd like to see it succeed anyway.
