Teddie's final social link in the Velvet Room is, without hyperbole, my favorite scene in Persona 4. I don't know why. Don't ask me, because I don't know. But there is just something about the bond that Teddie and the MC share that I'm really fond of, and I thought this scene was their best together.
Yay Teddie's back! When I saw him in the VR I hugged the screen and started sobbing about how much I missed him. I would've been considerate enough to give Teddie those chips! I've always wondered whose Shadow he was. I thought maybe he was the MC's...
P4 wouldn't be the same without Teddie...and that's just how much I love this caracter.
@Kou: The P4 fighting game (P4U) is on PS3 & 360...and I doubt the story is going to be of be any importance. P4 the Golden, on the other hand, is for the Vita and I'm really looking forward to seeing all of the new additions and improvements.
So yeah, after this scene my headcanon went from a complex and intricate story about Teddie's past and sorrow to a simpler "Teddie is Hajime's Shadow".
A Persona Using Shadow.......makes you wonder what the cast of Persona 3 would think if they heard that.
although we might find out Mitsuru's and Akihiko's opinions in that Persona 4 fighting game for the Vita (its a direct sequel to this and they are in it as playable character (i have no idea how the story will work for that game))
This was both a favorite scene and a hated scene. On first play-through I was just freaking out between "OMFG THEY KILLED MY NANAKO" to "AAAAH WHERE'S MY TEDDIE???!" Then we see him in the Velvet Room but he can't come back with us, and Igor throws him out like he's yesterday's garbage and I'm just sitting there going 'M-my Teddie... I want my Teddie...' like a little kid. >.<
@blacklady: Yeah, I know the male MC doesn't let you SL with everyone. A part of me feels that he doesn't have a real attachment towards them. The female protagonist, however, that's the improvement. P3P took things from Persona 4 that worked and it made the remake better but it still doesn't make up for the first experience I had. If anything, it made me understand the characters more but I still hold P4 in higher regards.
@yese, when you're a female you can max out everyone but when you're male you still can't your male s. links xD well, it was too late to re-do the s. links all over again anyway.
@Destoryer12: his persona will "upgrade" later =)
@Strain: shouldn't teddie know by now that nanako's alive? that's the major reason why MC got the rank up =/
@Zelkova: that's the major difference between P3 and P4. In P3, your party's resolutions were part of the story and you didn't have to work for them but in P4, you had to work for them. This is why a lot of people argue that the characters never got development, which isn't true. Although their resolutions weren't part of the plot, they do show development, it's just subtle. I actually liked this. It made it more realistic to me; people don't completely change within a year, it takes time. I also felt more attached to the characters since I invested more time with them. Keep in mind the P3P eventually did this by letting you social link with all your party members.
Oddly enough Teddie social link felt the most emotional where the others just feel like an achievement if anything. Naoto being the worst as it felt like it was added in at the last sec and even then you could potentially mess up and be force to restart the game.
It was thanks to this scene that Teddie became my second favorite character, it touched me in a personal way. I just wanted to reach into the TV and give that bear a hug.

@onizaku5 that would explain a few things, but even then, i'm not sure about that.
onizaku5 at 8:32PM, Dec. 5, 2011
.... I always thought that Teddie was the chairman's shadow. It explains why he knows so much about shadows, and his puns... Those damn puns?*twitch*

Search your feelings, you know it be canon...Mwahahahaha!
yese at 8:12PM, Dec. 5, 2011
That's not to say the game isn't nice looking. I'll probably be playing it anyways.
yese at 8:11PM, Dec. 5, 2011
I'm still denying the canon. -3-
Strain42 at 8:09PM, Dec. 5, 2011
We know it's canon, and I'm actually looking forward to that. But that doesn't mean it's gonna be huge or anything.
yese at 8:01PM, Dec. 5, 2011
Speaking of P4 Ultimate, Atlus said it is canon but I'm going to deny that. I feel that entire game is just one fan-service creation.

What about his persona? Wouldn't that of upgraded at this point seeing as its rank 10?
