Shadow himself does not appear in this strip. Perhaps the implication is that this is a view through his eyes; we are seeing the characters as S. Wilson sees them. This has some strange implications, however: Why does he see his friend Chug as a furious blur? Why does the talking PS2 (normally regarded as a nuisance) appear as a Lovecraftian horror? Why is the loathed Dork Winkle suddenly humanized? Could this be an unexpected side-effect of the anti-depressant medicine? That would handily explain why S. Wilson is so reluctant to take his pills. If that's not the case, we may have to conclude that this strip is non-canon.
