great news! I'm almost up and running again! I got somebody to help me with my problem (BTW, thanks a ton for your help Locoma.) and hopefully in a week or two I'll have everythign I need to be scanning stuff in :D

believe me, if you ever met my dad, you would realize that you are most likely a computer guru. I'm still trying to get him to realize that not everything on the internetz is true. he still thinks the Iphone sux (which im pretty sure it doesn't.. but i could be wrong) and that the government can control the atmosphere with ultra low frequency radio signals. yeeah.
