Do what I do when I redo pages. Park them in an archive comic with link in the main comic. That way readers can see how much you improved over time. As for the rest of my comments I'll see you in a PQ :)
well, then, say she's not a Surak follower when someone mentions she's not acting like a vulcan. She could have been raised around human scientists, be half human, half human and Romulan. Whatever. Don't leave it up to speculation. A little dollop of exposition is fine. Example: Shawn, as he is patching her up could say. "You're not acting like any vulcan I met before." Captain T'pah "That's because I'm/I've (what she is or why she is emotional)
I'll keep that in mind for the future. I'll have him ask something along those lines but she's not the type to give actual answers. She would probably just dance around the question. On her ship she acts as she pleases because she's the one in control, but outside the ship she'd rather people assume she is a follower of Surak.
Also thank you:)
I have a few pages sketched out, but I have no idea whatb I'm doing with this comic. Like I know a lot of future stuff, but until I get there I'll kinda just be bullshiting my way through. Usually the beginning of my comics are rough, the longer I do them, the more solid the ideas become. I'll probably end up re drawing the early pages years later, like I'm doing with my longest comic. I hate destroying old art so every page is an internal struggle.
correction, after a tad bit of research I discovered that there is indeed emotional vulcans, who does not follow Surak's code of emotional control but they are rare and often have intense emotions. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vulcan_(Star_Trek)
Boy, she's acting more like a Romulan than a Vulcan. Interesting, I'll keep an eye on this before I like it. You have some decent skill. If you can remain actives I'm sure you can go far. Sorry I've seen so many promising comics fail over the years. And I'm a trekie, so try not to disappoint.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut yah. this entire concept is entirely fanfiction-y. It will mostly be an assured comedy. most of my research follows the lines of, I look something up for an hour. I don't find the information I want. I say fuck it, this is my story Ill write what I want even if it doesn't end up making since.
anyway you are none the less welcome to tell me what I'm doing wrong, and fact check me. I Encourage it since the star trek universe is so much information. I wont be redoing pages because that valuable time Ill be using on other projects, but I will take whatever information you give in the future. probably creating lots of plot holes. this is a lazy gag comics so whatever.
Thanks, this comic probably wont get very far because I have other comics and this is just a side one. I've only watched the original series and voyager. I'm currently watching next generations, but it's harder for me to watch. I've been told it gets so much better, but where I am now it's painful to watch. Anyway I enjoy star trek a lot but I'm not like a super fan, there are probably a lot of things I'll get wrong. My intention was to make her act more like a romulan, but only on her own ship. she's supposed to be a conniving wack job that knows how to manipulate people. Somehow she managed to get her own ship. For the most part off her ship she try's to keep her composure. why she is the way she is will be explained but for now just know that she started not suppressing her emotions at a young age. it can actually hurt a vulcan to not suppress their emotions because they have been doing it so long and are not used to it.
