I'm a fan of the old hard boiled detective greats like Dashell Hammett, Raymond Chandler, Jim Thompson, Mickey Spillane, and others, as well as all the great film noir movies from the 30's, 40's, and 50's. Give me a James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart, or Howard Hawkes movie and I'm in heaven.
