Not quite as gruesome as I expected, but he is still dead. Once again, there is no blood. When are the police going to figure out the common thread in the murders? I don't think they are dumb, but emotions lead their decisions (yuck, at every crime scene). Logic and deductive reasoning are not their current MO. BTW, I love this comic (yes, I vote for it).

Cops generally see a lot of gruesome scenes, and expect pools of blood and the whole gory works, but something like this... the complete absence of blood and gore, just a dessicated corpse... might freak them out more than a bloodbath. It's a matter of what's generally in your experience.

Thanks for the support. It's much appreciated. As to the gruesomeness of the body or lack thereof, rather. I too was hoping for a little more "UGH!" from the body just for effect. But what Coydog drew is accurate to how a body eaten by a giant spider would look. Spider's inject their victims with digestive juices that liquify their victims insides into a soup that they suck up, leaving behind an empty shell. So all that would be left of Randy's body after "Spider Mary" got through with it is his skin draped over his skeleton. Exactly what Coydog drew. As for the police? They're smarter then you think. I figured I did all I could there, and it was fairly faithful to what it would look like IRL. But that's not the last you'll see of the corpse, there'll be close-ups, heheh.
