I don't know the full story, and what I do know is second or third hand, but apparently the Judge's daughter was hospitalized by a drunk driver years ago. He's been somewhat harsh about DUI ever after.
When I went through county we were instructed not to piss off the judge because he would take it out on those behind us. Implication that we should make the day easier for the judge. At the end of it, if we angered him and he bammed those behind us we were all going back to the same jail and those bammed would take it out on us once we got back. Theoretically.
My mother raised me to use my words, not my fists. To open doors for everyone, and help anyone in need. My pound was open -- from minimal to max custody. Drug users to cho-mos to mass murderers. Half a dozen guys would run down on you by your lonesome for a few bricks of ramen.
But you stand in the paint because it's not about being a nice guy and offering up 3 dollars in ramen because THEY are "hungry." Those 3 bucks come at the cost of repetition, which is why you never let it happen. First guy through the door you hit with a lock. And the guy poked up in the chow line before you, you step over and get your food & eat it.
Ah, got through reading the catch-up and comments. Much suck. Not too fond of the system myself, though I only ended locked up for a week. Lack of proper paperwork and a judge still pissed off at the drunk driver sentenced before me.
I dunno about that. IN FICTION little bothers me, but Pan vexes the fuck out of me. The attitude is right, the sex is right, but the body isn't. She's older than dirt, so my brain wants to stick her in a more mature body than what she is. She's amoral and suppose to present in a way so as to make folks uncomfortable.
I think I'll try to suss out a way to post prose which is complimentary. Like a comic/narrative version of Cerberus.

Ran across Sune years ago, then lost track and forgot about it. Glad to have bumped into the comic again, and good to see you're still going.
