Ep. 41, Page 107

I'll be taking Monday off in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Could Dr. King have foreseen, when he spoke those words in 1963, that over 50 years later it would seem that we need them now more than ever? Could even he have dreamt that here in 2021, a mob of white nationalists, spurred on by obvious but all-too-convenient lies from the President of the United States, would overrun the US Capitol building in a violent attempt at insurrection?

And yet it has happened.

Yes, I'll be taking Monday off.
