Ah, I see the president is finally revealing his true Remulak heritage. Though of course like Connie, he was born on earth and has the credentials to prove it, unlike his predecessor. But no tax returns. Nope. Under audit.
"Was it an open invitation or are you making the argument that Trump encourages violence in his speeches and if he's encouraging violence in his speeches why is he so bad at getting the results you're implying he wants?"
Trump is the leader of the country and sets the tone for the political discourse. He has encouraged violence at his rallies, "knock the crap out of him" and even offered to pay people's legal fees if they were arrested for violence. So, YES, I am making that argument. And given all the political violence that is happening in the last few years, do you REALLY think he isn't getting the results he wants? Charlottesville was a huge red flag and was inevitable under Trump. If he doesn't change his rhetoric, I fear worse is yet to come.
In regards to Conner Betts, no one knows what motivated him to do what he did, but evidence is pouring in he was a misogynist with a long trail of red flags that got missed or ignored. He had a rape/kill list of female classmates when he was in school and was a member of a pornogrind band where he sang songs about rape, murder, and necrophilia against women. To date, his acts of murder does not seem to be politically motivated like the others. He was, however, the poster child for toxic masculinity with violent fantasies against women. Misogyny is a non partisan issue. Trump routinely traffics in misogyny. It's his brand, along with the racism.
Trump's speech yesterday blamed video games and mental illness for the recent spate in mass shootings, everything but his own rhetoric (which was echoed in the manifestos left behind by the Christchurch, Tree of Life, and El Paso killers) and the easy access of guns, which I, of course, satirized in this strip.
Trump is a racist. This is a fact and I can bring the receipts for this going back to the 1970's when he and his father were sued by the DOJ for housing discrimination. Fred Trump's racism was so well known that Woody Guthrie sang about it.
I can draw a direct line to the rhetoric Trump uses to the Tree of Life synagogue killer, the Christchurch killer, Cesar Soyac and his mail bombs, the Gilroy shooter, and now the El Paso shooter.
I don't need to point fingers at Trump, he does it himself with his own words. It's called holding him accountable for his rhetoric and actions.
I don't know for sure whether Trump is actually a white nationalist, though I strongly suspect he is, he is demonstrably a racist at best and has emboldened the white nationalist movements and given them a major platform. Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham as well. Their language about immigrants is indistinguishable from white nationalist language on the subject.
So, since Connor Betts was an anarchist liberal satanist(who was also huge on gun control and supported Elizabeth Warren) how did the kkk and Trump convince him it was a good idea to go on a shooting spree?
And how did the klan and the president convince Cruisius to start shooting? Was it an open invitation or are you making the argument that Trump encourages violence in his speeches and if he's encouraging violence in his speeches why is he so bad at getting the results you're implying he wants?
I don't like Trump, what what I really don't like is seeing a tragedy happen and someone like you saying "How can I point the finger at the President today?". You're shifting the blame from the guys responsible for it for your own agenda, and thats the type of bullshit I'd expect to see from the news and not here.
