Issue One, Page 1

Fly Hue on Sept. 9, 2010

This a treat! You get to see the first page in its first version! That is, I once again went into much debate as to whether I should censor myself, this time on the issue of keeping the word ‘cannabis’. I've ultimately decided to remove the reference from the text, seeing how it's not really necessary, even though it WOULD help convey what type of people the centaurÄ“s are. In answer to that I've resolved to keep any depictions of the centaurÄ“s smoking from ordinary pipes, leaving the images up to interpretation, though– YOU will know for sure. ;)
This page is a nice example of why posting the final images with color eventually would be beneficial. In the first panel, there would be a blurry landscape and a sun painted sky behind Adamantine's silhouette. Also it'd make the pumpkin seed in the last panel easier to see. Right now it sort of blends in.

If the text is too hard to read: "IN THE NEW COUNTRY THERE IS ONE TRADE KNOWN TO THE CENTAURS, AND THAT IS AGRICULTURE.
MY FAMILY RESIDES IN THE EAST. WE GROW SQUASH, MOSTLY, CUCUMBERS ALSO. AND ALPHALPHA FOR OURSELVES.
THE NEAREST SCHOOL IS MORE THAN 300 KM NORTH AND COSTS 2000 P PER YEAR, ALMOST HALF OF WHAT WE MAKE IN THAT TIME, SO NONE OF THE CENTAURS READ. I CAN WRITE MY NAME THOUGH! LOOK!
ADENANTIN
IN THE OLD COUNTRY, MOTHER SAYS THE CENTAURS WERE EDUCATED AND ESTABLISHED AND INDEPENDENT. NOW WE TELL STORIES."
