As time passes we tend to make things better/easier/faster, but I want to say that a good friend once tell me that my color illustrations looks “good” but in a way that he's saying “your color illustrations sucks!”.
And he was right… at the time I remember that I think I was doing well at colour and get a bit mad when he tell me that (he's a professional Graphic Designer) but instead of punching him (nah, I'm joking) I worked and worked and worked and… worked again to get better.
The Hitomi on the left, is the one you can see here, and the Hitomi on the right, is the one that Tantz Aerine asked to the nominatees to make for the DD Awards 2018 Wallpaper. You can visit this thread to see the other colleagues pin ups (let me say that all are AWESOME).
I'm happy with the result now, but I'm not satisfed yet. And still working to get better at drawing, coloring, telling my story and so.
I take every comment into account, either good or bad. The good ones makes my day, but the critiques (in a constructive way) make my day even better!
I'm planning to make a series of tips or tutorials to share with you. These things are the ones that once helped me to improve (at least a little).

Oh I forgot to mentioned, I like the left one (the one with the ๐more). The feature really grabs my attention.

I was thinking about remaking it but I better leave as it is. The funny thing is that originally this was suposed to be in B&W, but the heart looks awful (it didn't look like a heart). This is why the chapter covers were in color... Until I get rid of them.

I use Millipen for characters XDDD I think it depends on the art style (mine is a mix between Euro comics and U.S. comics, with a designer stuff XD). Great studies!

Nothing better than a honest friend. This picture shows how much you improved, especially in coloring and effects. Though speaking of honesty as much as I love the new art (I especially love the pose!), I think top of Hitomi's head on this one looks a little strange. There are no details on her hair there so it looks kinda empty compared to the rest. I'm far from a profesional though so consider what I said with your own judgement :)

Thank you Guy! And not only looks empty but also a bit "big" hahaha. I was going to fix it but my lazy side was stronger than the enthusiastic one :D Hope to fix it soon ;)
