About that eye… Kimber Lee took a sniper shot to the eye, and not only did it not kill her, it didn't even burst her eyeball - I intended this page to demonstrate just how tough she's becoming. I started to portray a drawn-out demonstration of how the bullet entered her eye socket, sort of swirled around in there and then came out, popping out her eyeball in the process…
But I decided I'd have to go full-on adult rating if I did such a scene (that being every bit as graphic as some of the penetration sex scenes in the adult comics).
Color: notice it's much lighter than the previous pages. Well I'm still figuring out GIMP but I'm also trying to convey that the Night is turning to Dawn… Not fully happy with the transition, but hey…
Speaking of GIMP, I tried to paint a page using GIMP's brush tools (after scanning in just b/w inking…) God I suck at it!! How do you guys do it…??! So, still doing ink and watercolor, then scannig in!! But I've figured out stuff like Layers, Dodging, Burning,… Maybe I'll try again later… Maybe…
Who is Kimberly…? She's Eli's underage girlfriend!! We met her way back on pages 65-68! Eli picked a young one with a very similar name to Kimber Lee - isn't that sweet!
Kimberly tries to replicate what Kimber Lee did to her back then - not so fast, kid!!
Thanks for Reading Everyone!!

Ugh, there goes that eye x.x I actually thought she lost it on the last page, but it was holding on until just now! And it's questionable if that girl will even live long enough to do anymore growing up to be honest xD!
KimLuster at 7:07AM, March 10, 2017
Haha, that eye!! As for the girl - maybe Kimber Lee will just ground her instead!!
GuyWithChainsaw at 11:35AM, March 9, 2017
Holly smokes! This art style is incredible! I never seen anything like it.
KimLuster at 12:47PM, March 9, 2017
Hey ChainSawGuy - Thank You!! That also sorta scares me haha!!
LanceDanger at 10:45AM, March 9, 2017
Awesome intensity!
KimLuster at 12:46PM, March 9, 2017
Thanks!!

don't blink!
KimLuster at 12:46PM, March 9, 2017
*blinks* No...wait!!
plymayer at 10:14PM, March 8, 2017
That eye thing makes me sweamish.
KimLuster at 6:11AM, March 9, 2017
You shoulda been the one drawing it!! Eeek!
El Cid at 6:31PM, March 8, 2017
Oh yeah, if you wanna gross people out, there's no more surefire way than a barftastic eyeball scene. These colorful super baddies may have underestimated our heroine's tenacity just a wee bit.
KimLuster at 6:11AM, March 9, 2017
Yeah, even cats hate eyeballs! I saw a cat eat a whole rabbit once! Ate everything: flesh, bones, fur...! Except the two eyeballs! All that was left was some blood in the grass with eyeballs right in the middle! *Blech*

This gives "keeping an eye on the enemy" a hole, er, I mean whole new meaning, and Kimberly may finally get the spanking she should have had a long time ago... I think you found a good way of balancing the violence and the story without compromising either. I, too, can't help admiring those who do digital colouring for the incredibly patience I think they must be summoning up every time - 60 layers! My word! But I'm no expert in this, it may be much easier than it sounds. Computer stuff just isn't my cup of tea, really. Plus I came to like watercolours; I like doing them almost as much as looking at yours.
KimLuster at 1:48PM, March 8, 2017
Haha I love awful puns! Well, Kimberly could certainly use a good spanking! I know she was portrayed as very much the victim in her previous appearance, but I've always been of the opinion that a victimized past, while making it understandable for you to become an asshole to others, never makes it right! You're still an asshole! I find myself agreeing with you on watercolors! Yours, Panmans,... they all have a sort of organic quality to them that I couldn't even begin to replicate in GIMP. That's what I kept saying to myself - this doesn't look 'real'! I'm certain very skilled digital artists like Fallopiancrusader could make digital watercolor look better than real watercolor. And I salute them - just don't think I wanna put in the effort to become them haha!

Really good page, I love the eye scene! (I love violence in comics...maybe I'm sick LOL) I like the colour, it look very handcrafted (...well, it is). I use a different software (Clip Studio Paint EX) but from what I can see, all programs are very similar, the only remarkable differences is the tool part. My process when I coloring (although it´s very different from your style)is apply a base color (no shadow nor anything)then create new layer clipped at the base color for a first shadow, and then another layer for the second shadow. I do this for the skin, clothes, etc. separately (normally I ended with 60+ layers). It´s tough but I really like the result. I´m not a really big fan of the layer fusion options ("multiply" and "add glow" are the ones that I use the most)but it´s a matter of personal taste, and if it suits you... go ahead! I will upload the process I describe in my profile, if you have the chance, please check it out.

It seems that I cannot view your images tab (I think those are private)! If you ever have another way of displaying let me know - I'd love to see!!
Avart at 10:30AM, March 8, 2017
LOL, this way you get more control, but is slooooow. I was trying to put some subpages but I can't upload the images. In my profile, in the images tab, I uploaded some colored art. There, you'll se one of a girl in college uniform, from the sketch to the final result. Ther's one weird pic with her skin blue, eyes pink, etc. I apply a "color layer mask" when coloring skin or eyes or some element that has a very clear color, this way when I apply the sub mask with other color (a contrasting one, like blue)I don't let white spots left. When I'm sure that it's all filled up, I turn off the sub mask. The draw will end in a very basic colur base, like a cartoon, and then I start the hard work creating layers for shadows. I think that when I do this work (like a poster or promotional draw) 60 layers will be the standard, but if in the page are more than one character this number will raise. But for a comic page I think that 6 layer are fine, maybe 12 if you add shadow or other effects.
KimLuster at 10:11AM, March 8, 2017
Wow Avart! Thanks so much! I really appreciate all this technical advice you've given and will certainly check out your process!! 60+ layers!!! That boggles my mind!! I got up to 6 layers on my most recent page and thought I was over-killing it!! :)

Intense stuff with the eye! Glorious VIOLENCE! The BogeyMAN! COMBAT! I'm loving this!
KimLuster at 10:10AM, March 8, 2017
Just for you, Jerrie! Just for you... :)
bravo1102 at 7:06AM, March 8, 2017
You would have to do eye scenes when I'm recovering from eye surgery. Yes, eyes do just pop back into the socket, but I would recommend seeing an ophthalmologist, even Godstrain retinas could still become torn or detached. And Kimberly, those pony tails do nothing for you, really.
KimLuster at 7:52AM, March 8, 2017
Ummm... Yeah... Sorry Bravo - I'm so thoughtless!! ;) The eye didn't come up, but is it still useful? Kimber Lee may have to work with half a field of vision until she can make that eye appointment!! And yeah... those pony tails are supposed to be a little cringy!! And gals with hair, if you plan to fight, cut it or weave it close to the head!!
Banes at 6:05AM, March 8, 2017
Omigosh...that eye! It makes me wince! But as powerful as Kim's getting, maybe it's already healing. I like seeing Kimberly try and turn things around on Kimber! The dialogue between the "monsters" is making me wonder more about what they're all about! Love it! You know, I saw Logan last night and there are some very "Godstrain"- type elements to it. Not exactly, but the tone, setting, and a certain section of the movie reminded me of a certain portion of this comic.
KimLuster at 7:49AM, March 8, 2017
Yeah... I feel so dirty - should be ashamed of myself ;) I've been wanting to see Logan for days but haven't been able to work it out! Now I really wanna...!!
