He was a character I actually had a dream about. Really quite the stereotypical French dude but I always thought that was kind of fun.
Unfortunately, though Pierre is in the story from now on, he never became a very interesting or exciting character to me. I sort of began to use him less and less. In the more current pages (we're talking WAY later in the story) he becomes even more of a background character than he was when he started out.
I had big plans in the beginning for Pierre to become enamored with Irene and make the Doc jealous, but I never carried through with it (plus I later came up with another character, which you will meet very soon, that sort of made me trash that idea).
So yeah, though he's kinda cute, Pierre will never really get to do anything super special in the stoy. Sort of a “filler” character if you will. He eventually will blend into the background more. Just one of those funny things about comics, you know? =p
