@El Cid - Thanks Cid! So far it's the former. But I've played with the latter a bit and when my navigation of the 3D space gets better I'd like to try it that way. I'm still clumsy with it; my 2d parts get almost to where I want them and then get really tiny. Or huge. Or disappear under the floor. But I'll be adding more props (mostly signage), so I'll get some practice. Or is that "practise"?

The 3D-2D integration's pretty rad. Are you compositing everything post-render or are you using flat plane representations of the Movie Pit gang in the render itself?

@VinoMas - Thanks VinoMas! I really like the way the set's coming together! I added the pillars when I remembered my old place of employment had pillars. They seem to add some interest to the set.
