McGuyver, Knightrider, Airwolf, Magnum Pi and a host of shows like that were certainly inspiring in a certain way :D

I was never into art. But MacGyver and Get Smart fueled my imagination and inspired me to write. I also wrote some magical realism stuff inspired by The Tomorrow People (the original one) on Nickelodeon. Nick played several well-written but short-lived sci-fi series in the 90s.

"Aaggghhh Real Monsters!" on nickelodeon and "liquid television' on MTV in the 90's got me into drawing as a kid.

That's really cool. It's a fascinating insight 😁

When I was six my sister suddenly left home, leaving a pile of vinyl and a record player behind. One album had a really interesting looking drawing on the cover. It was a giant musical sculpture or a vehicle of some kind and I started drawing my own versions of it. The album was an early Pink Floyd compilation called Relics and when I finally put the record on, Syd Barratt expanded my mind to the outer reaches of the cosmos. No substance has ever had that much of an effect on me.
