Actually Roflinator, that is what scientists like to call a protein filament that grows through the epidermis from follicles deep within the dermis. Only instead of growing upon ones own epidermis it seems to be growing on a large variety of the mineral beryl colored green by trace amounts of chromium and sometimes vanadium. I do indeed hope that I have answered any possible questions that your mind may have been quite flabbergasted about.
