This is good character building, and it has a nice brisk pace. This would be like twelve pages if I tried writing it! The details on the scabbard are a nice touch that helps anchor it visually.

It probably would have worked out to three or four comic pages for me. Rewiting it as a narrative, I trimmed some of the dialogue.
